Cloud by Francesco Rota is a sofa designed as a big unit game, combining free and organic shapes, matched or opposed offering original solutions suitable for domestic living rooms but also for wide contract spaces.

Playful geometries with countless compositions, to be designed profiting from eleven units and three different types of arms, with different sizes, shapes and heights to be used freely: a central unit used as terminal unit, and vice versa, or self-standing becoming a pouf; the back panel can be used as a side panel or a separating unit between two seats.

Free shapes, modular, always original solutions.

Francesco Rota, interior e product designer, nasce nel 1966 a Milano dove vive e lavora.

Dopo la laurea in disegno industriale all’Art Center College of Design di La Tour de Peilz (Svizzera), apre il suo studio nel 1998 occupandosi di progettazione nei diversi settori del design: prodotti, arredi, illuminazione, showroom, uffici, case private ed allestimenti.

Molte le collaborazioni internazionali: Alchemy, Arketipo, Bals Tokyo, Barilla, Driade, Fiat, Frag, John Richmond, Knoll International, KME Italy, Lapalma, Lema, Living Divani, L’Oreal Paris, Malo, Martini & Rossi, Mercedes Benz, Moroso, Paola Lenti, Oluce, Takano Co.Ltd, Versus.

Da maggio 2004 è docente all’Istituto Europeo di Design nell’ambito del Master Research Study Program in Industrial Design, in collaborazione con Magis.

Dal 2013 è art director di Lapalma.
